Missouri River Fishing Report
Happy May, everyone!
I hope you all have been out fishing because the getting is good!
Most of our team is over on the Missouri River for the spring runoff season. Everything is happening a little early this year.
All the rainbows seem to be off the spawn and on the feed! Subsurface is still the main player.
Early mornings, fishing sow bugs, scuds, worms. Transitioning into a Mayfly game in the afternoon. There are lots of fish in the quick water.
Any quick riffle with a drop is a great spot to look! 3ft to 1 bb about 5.5-6ft total length.
Its hard to believe, but I think we are already on the tail end of the baetis and blue wing hatch. There are definitely some around and good dry fly opportunities when they pop, but the main hatch seems to be tapering.
We are already seeing caddis and march browns on the lower end of the river.

Flathead River Fishing Report
The local Flathead has been coming in and out of fishing shape. And will continue that trend for a few weeks. When it clears up enough, the fish are willing.
We had a boat out yesterday that put a great half day trip together with a couple beginner anglers. Plenty of fish hit the net to make for a good high water trip!
Think side channels, braids slower moving 3-6ft depth with a dropper rig. Or look for the big inside bends and nymph deep.
We would love to get you out! Give us a call for any info you might need.
