Flathead River | Swan River

It’s official runoff season is here… but have no fear…

We have got options! Locally we have a couple of different sneaky streams that avoid the mud. The water is big but it’s fishable. With some persistence and good vibes, some great fish are still hitting the net in these conditions.

We have really been hammering the streamer. Get that zonkzilla down deep with a medium retrieve and hold on! #pullandpray!

Also, salmon flies are making an appearance if you know where to look. That being said, big black rubber legs under your favorite color bobber will find you a fish.

Also, some fun still-water fishing happening on our local lakes for bass and pike, a fun option for sure.

We also offer half and full-day trips on both Whitefish Lake and Flathead Lake mainly for lake trout. We are having success bouncing a 3-inch white tub jig off the bottom.

Wolf Creek + Craig

Missouri River

If you’re willing to make the drive over east the Missouri is still fishing great! The baetis are still lingering but on their way out….

Caddis have definitely started to make an appearance, especially in the bottom half of the river after about the 12:30 zone. The heads aren’t as active as they were but there are dry fly targets if you’re looking!

We will be sorta in-between hatches for a quick minute awaiting my personal favorite the PMP (pale mourning dun)!

Nymphing is fun right now fishing short worm and your favorite may fly pattern 5.5 ft total leader.Riffles, drops and swirlys!
