Flathead River
The cool weather has kept the local Flathead fishable for nearly the entire month of April. As of now, she is still good to go but spring could blow out our local river any day. Still nymphing deep, dry dropper also effective... but March browns have been making an appearance for some excellent dry fly fishing. Chubby. PT jig dropper. Size 12-10 your favorite parachute for March brown. If going deep. Stones and pink stuff!
Missouri River
Most trips are taking place over on the mighty MO. Flows are already up! Today we're at just over 5800. Super great spring flows, it is nice to see after the last couple of years! Nymphing 9-10 ft. Sow bugs above Craig and most of the river. But below Craig, mayfly stuff is starting to work. There are some fish up. Look close! Streamer guys are having success chucking something white. Get out and GET BENT!
