Flathead River Fishing Report
The local Flathead has been on a slow, steady rise for the last 5 days. She is sitting at 27000 cos. That is a big river! We do have 2 different smaller streams that are producing some good fish.
It’s not easy out there, but if you’re in town and want to get a half-day trip in, we can get you some trout on a fly rod.
We have been seeing some salmonflies on one of our streams and getting a couple of great top water eats in the mid-morning to afternoon. A big foam salmonfly up top with a black rubber legs down below will do the trick!
You might not get a lot of fish, but you might get the dry fly fish you have been looking for!
If you don’t feel like battling the higher water flows. We have some great bass and pike trips going out in some local lakes and the Flathead River slough. It’s something different and super fun. We highly recommend it for this time of year!

Missouri River Fishing Report
As always, this time of year, and for the next month, the Missouri River is hands down our best trout destination for springtime in the Rocky Mountains. The river has been fishing great. Mostly nymphing. If it’s not quantity you’re after, we can creep around and find some dry fly targets. Or go at daylight and chuck some streamers to mix it up. On the lower half of the river plenty of caddis have made there appearance. And even better, the march browns are around… a trout favorite! The dry fly game should pick up a little every day.. with ups and downs, of course..
We hope to get you out on the water!!
Stay BENT!!
