Flathead River Fishing Report

Well, last week we had some solid rain. It blew the river out for a little over 24 hours.

Typical pre-runoff conditions.

It wasn’t long before our local Flathead was back in the game though.

We have been out multiple times this week, besides a little breeze everything has been just about perfect spring fishing conditions.

Low crowds and willing fish. We have noticed a little drop in the consistency of our above-average fish. This is mainly caused by the slight drop in flows…

When we get a little push in water headed towards Flathead Lake, those big boys and girls will feel it in their gills and head upstream!

We particularly love it when the water turns that dingy green… not too dark now… but pushes both the fish and the food around. The making of a great recipe for some killer fishing.

Pay attention to the conditions and be ready to rock. The windows of exceptional opportunity can be short, but if you are there you will be rewarded!

Remember.. good vibes catch fish!

Stay positive and the fish will respect and react.

Stay bent!

Missouri River Fishing Report

We can’t ever forget our east side of the mountains spring adventure. The Missouri River is fishing true to form!

If it’s some big rainbows and browns you’re after, the  Missouri is the spot for you right now!

Nymphing has been very consistent.

Sow bugs and maybe even a red zebra midge.

Also, the streamer bite has been plenty consistent to make for a fun day chasing a big brown.

The water is still chilly.. so try a slow to medium strip and see what happens!
