Flathead River Fishing Report
Hello everyone!
Let’s see…
Our local Flathead River is really productive right now. We are receiving great daily reports from all our guides. Both morning and afternoon trip success! If it’s an early start and there is still a little chill in the air, the dropper of choice is a size 12 blonde pats rubber legs at the moment. As it warms up and you notice your top fly chubby etc.. getting looked at you can cut your dropper and downsize your foam bug of choice, or even better, tie on old faithful size 12-14 parachute adams or a purple haze and wait for the orange belly native to “rise to the occasion “.
We are loving the fishing right now.. but our river system is running at half the amount of water of average for this time of year. We are lucky to have nice mountain and glacial runoff to keep us cool, but we should all prepare for a bit of a low-water year… It won’t be long, and early starts with early off times will be the go-to game. Mostly to protect our precious resource.
But for now, everything is just right, so go enjoy it!!

Missouri River Fishing Report
The Missouri is running 4650 CFS. There are still lots of noses to cast at, especially in the upper part of the river.
Caddis early and pmds mid-morning on. Nymphing can be hit and miss, some days great, others not as much.
Look for 2-5 foot quick water and toss it in!

Blackfoot River Fishing Report
Blackfoot is fishing great right now! Flows are perfect, for now.. Salmonflies are still rolling. Go find yourself a big bug chug!
Paradise + St. Regis
Clark Fork River Fishing Report
The Clark Fork is running 7,400 cfs, same deal, half of the average for this time of year, but it is fishing great! Tie on a chubby chernoyble with a PT jig below for the morning. Once it heats up, snip off the dropper and go dry or die! Purple haze or parachute adams will work just fine.
So get it while the getting is good!
