Kalispell + Whitefish + Bigfork + Columbia Falls
Flathead River + Blackfoot River + Clark Fork River
September has brought us lots of heat then a sweet cool down with substantial rain. Sept-Ober is hands down our favorite time of year.
The fish are happy and willing to eat. Depending on where you’re at the mornings are cold enough it might be a dropper game until the water warms up a bit. We have been on the Blackfoot a bunch this last week. The water is low, but well worth it! No people and lots of fish eating the dry fly. Assortment of different mayflies hatching. The main player is still the Trico. Big cutthroat on small dries is always rewarding!
Also, the Clark for has been producing great fish daily. The cloudy days are best per usual. Overall though good fishing rain or shine.
Our local flathead is starting to see some of those migratory natives move around. It’s a fun time to get out there and try and hunt one down!
Early morning dropper. Dry fly afternoons. Our favorite program. It beats the crowds and catches the fish. Thanks, everyone!
We have guides ready and would love to get you out!

Flathead Lake
Flathead Lake has been lots of fun for the conventional fishing angler. Trolling for big macks is really consistent right now. Also jigging for whitefish is a blast this time of year!!
Get it while the getting is good!
